TABLE ROCK LAKE - FEBRUARY 27, 2021
Port of Kimberling Resort - 126 Boats
The 2021 Anglers in Action season is now underway, with the kickoff at Table Rock Lake last Saturday, February 27th. 126 boats arrived at the Port of Kimberling Resort Saturday morning, ready to hit the water and get the season going.
Unfortunately, the fog had different plans. A scheduled 7am take-off turned into a 2 hour fog delay. Safety of the anglers is our #1 priority, and always will be. We appreciate everyone's patience during the delay. Weigh-in was extended an hour, with the first flight due in at 4pm.
71 teams (56% of the field) brought fish across the AiA scales Saturday. A total of 246 bass were weighed in, totaling 707 lbs. There were 29 five fish limits weighed in.
Josh Wray and Donald Wray were one of the teams to round up a limit on Saturday, with a solid sack of Table Rock bass that weighed in at 18.56 lbs., good for first place and the win at the 2021 AiA season kickoff.
We want to thank all the anglers that participated Saturday, and to all of our great sponsors that contribute to the success of Anglers in Action. Please support the companies that support the tournaments you fish.
We also want to thank Eric Prey and Kory Mitchell with Table Rock Fishing Intel. Visit them at www.tablerockfishingintel.com for all your fishing info at Table Rock Lake.
The next Table Rock tournament will be held on March 13th, from 7am-3pm, going out of the Port of Kimberling Resort. If you are in need of lodging for this tournament, please visit them at www.portofkimberling.com
1st Place: Josh Wray & Donald Wray - 18.56 lbs.

Sponsored by: Jewel Bait Co. and Kavan Maybee Insurance Agency.
2nd Place: Travis Harriman & Drew Sagely - 17.65 lbs.

Travis and Drew mainly threw an Alabama Rig on offshore spots ranging from 20-40 foot deep. They reported rotating through numerous spots until they found one that had a group of fish on it. Great job guys !

MARIE'S MEMORIAL BASS CHALLENGE: A BEAUTIFUL DAY, FOR A BEAUTIFUL SOUL
Posted by editor on November 30, 2020
The tournament season came to a close last weekend for Anglers in Action® and the Big Bass Bash®, with a tournament we never thought we would have to hold. With the senseless, careless, avoidable tragedy, that took Marie's life and shattered numerous families, our goal now is to remember the great person Marie was and celebrate her life during this event. Marie devoted everything to these tournaments, she poured her heart and soul into running successful events, and we will keep fighting for her. The Terrell family, along with Big Al, will continue on and make these tournaments and events even bigger and better, in Marie's name. MARIE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
Marie's daughter, 13 year old Hayden, lost her mother in this careless tragedy, and suffered traumatic injuries in the process. We held a silent auction in her honor at this event, with numerous donated items from caring anglers, local businesses and supporters, and those that just wanted to reach out and help. As everyone knows, the fishing community is an extended family that takes care of each other, whether it be a close friend or a total stranger. They always have your back, and that will never be forgotten.
The money raised during the silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and gift card raffle will go into a savings account for Hayden. We will have the total amount donated to Hayden posted once we have everything tallied up. Again, we thank you all for your support!
What a turnout we had for the inaugural Marie's Memorial Bass Challenge. A total of 232 boats participated in this event, which is held at Lake of the Ozarks on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year. (November 27th next year)
The fishing, or catching I should say, has been very tough lately at LOZ, and that continued during this event. Out of 232 boats, there were only 76 teams that weighed in for the tournament. Anglers in Action® paid out 25 places on the Total Weight side for this event, and 25 places on the Big Bass side.
One of the teams that figured them out was Bill Davenport and Marcus Sykora. Marcus and Bill hammered over 20 lbs., 20.11 lbs. to be exact, to take 1st place on the Total Weight side. They also placed 17th overall on the Big Bass side, bringing their total tournament winnings to $4,000. Great job guys !
Brian Maloney and Josh Wisdom hooked in to the right ones too. Josh and Brian hauled in a total weight of 19.38 lbs., which included a 6.78 lb. giant that took 1st place on the Big Bass side. Brian and Josh won $3,700 for 1st place Big Bass, and $2,000 for 3rd place Total Weight, for a total of $5,700 in tournament winnings. Congratulations gentlemen !
We thank you all so much for participating in this event. We truly appreciate all of the anglers, sponsors, supporters, and those that stopped by just to offer their condolences, thoughts, and prayers for everyone that was affected by this horrible tragedy.
