Jamie Eynard wins the 2014 Lake of the Ozarks Fall Big Bass Bash. Jamie, 27 years old, resides in Jefferson City where he works for Nestle and lives with his wife & 2 young daughters.
His 7.89 lb. giant was caught on an 1/2 oz. Omega Custom Tackle green/purple jig, tipped with a craw trailer. Jamie caught the big girl around the 2 mile marker of the Osage, in 4 feet of water behind a dock. That one fish netted Jamie a total of $71,500 in cash. Congratulations !!
Chris Murphy took second place overall. Chris is from Pacific, MO, where he lives with his wife and four children. His $20,000 catch was made on the north end of the lake on an open bank with chunk rock. He caught it on a Wayne Fitzpatrick (owner of Fitz Fishing) creature bait jighead in about 10ft of water.
Chuck Wright, from Rolla, MO, has fished the Big Bass Bash since it's inception in 2006. His determination finally paid off, cashing in a cool $10,000. Chuck caught his big bass near the LORA military recreation area off of a break wall. His fish came on a Texas rigges 10" red shad power worm.
Brian Thompson, from Springfield, MO, sure was glad we added the fourth place overall prize this year. Brian had the 4th biggest bass of the weekend, which netted him $5,000. His bass was caught on a graduate school rig which he made himself. He was on the windy side of a dock in about 10ft of water when the bass slammed his rig.
