ASBERRY AND FRANCIS HAUL IN GIANT SACK OF 26.53 LBS. TO WIN 3RD STOP AT LAKE OF THE OZARKS

Lake of the Ozarks - April 14, 2019
What a day it was at the 3rd stop of the Anglers in Action trail at Lake of the Ozarks. The 113 teams were greeted to 35 degrees Sunday morning with rain that switched over to snow around 5am. After the wintry morning, the afternoon turned out great, with sunshine and temps around 60 degrees.
The fishing on Lake of the Ozarks is definitely heating up as well. Ten bags over 20 lbs. were weighed in Sunday, and it took over 18 lbs. just to get in the check line. Kobe Asberry and Clay Francis were one of those over 20 lbs. They hammered Lake of the Ozarks for five fish that weighed in at a massive 26.53 lbs. Kobe and Clay reported catching their fish on jigs, spinnerbaits, and the a-rig. They took home a total of $3,900.00.

1st Place: Kobe Asberry & Clay Francis with 26.53 lbs., total winnings of $3,900.00
2nd Place: Evan Shartzer & Ryan Jordan with 24.73 lbs., total winnings of $3,240.00
3rd Place: Michael Montgomery & James Frank with 23.90 lbs., total winnings of $1,680.00
Lew's Big Bass Award: 7.12 lbs. went to the team of Evan Shartzer & Ryan Jordan

Table Rock Lake: April 13, 2019 - Port of Kimberling Resort & Marina
Congratulations to Aaron Stanphill and Scott Bailey on their win Saturday at another rainy, chilly day on Table Rock Lake. Aaron and Scott topped the field with a five fish limit that pushed the scales down to 19.17 lbs. They took home $2,980 in AiA winnings, $2,500 in TAG incentive money, and another $7,000 in additional boat incentive money, for a total of $12,480. Way to go gentlemen!

1st Place: Aaron Standphill & Scott Bailey with 19.17 lbs. Total AiA winnings was $2,980.00, plus $2,500 TAG incentive money and $7,000 additional boat incentive cash.
2nd Place: Clint Williams & Jason Sandidge with 19.08 lbs. Total winnings was $1,960.00
3rd Place: Justin Hayden & Shawn Freeman with 18.01 lbs. Total winnings was $1,700.00.
Lew's Big Bass Award and 4th Place Overall: Aaron Hodge & James Bailey with 7.15 lbs. They won a total of $1,620.00

Anglers in Action: Grand Lake - April 6, 2019
Finally some decent weather greeted the 120 teams that competed at the second stop of the 2019 AiA Grand Lake division. Anglers blasted off at 6:30am to a beautiful sunrise, ready to fill their livewells and escort their catch back to the AiA scales that afternoon.
There were 259 fish brought across the AiA scales Saturday, for a combined weight of 715.80 lbs. A total of 25 five fish limits were weighed in. Ralph Gray and Steve Hatchcoat were one of the 25 teams to round up a limit. They hauled in a total of 20.52 lbs. to take first place overall Saturday, as well as a 6.34 lb. chunk that took 3rd place in the Big Bass pot.
Thanks again to all that participated Saturday. We appreciate all of your support and look forward to the next AiA event at Grand Lake on May 11th. We will take off from the Wolf Creek Ramp at 7am. We also want to thank all of our great sponsors that contribute to the success of this tournament trail.

Congratulations to Ralph Gray and Steve Hatchoat on their win Saturday at Grand Lake. They reported catching their fish on white spinnerbaits, targeting the back areas of pockets to accumulate their 20.52 lbs. Steve and Ralph took home a total of $4,190.00.
Second place went to the Timmons Oil Company team of Carl Svebek and Myron Waldup. They brought in a five fish limit that pushed the scales to 20.42 lbs. Carl and Myron walked away with a total of $2,690.00.
Doug Johnson and Oren Hardesty landed in 3rd place Saturday, with a total weight of 18.44 lbs. They took home a total of $1,720.00.
Brad Koehler and Ryan Ledbetter landed the Lew's Big Bass of the tournament. They hammered a 7.14 lb. giant to take big bass and took 11th place overall, for total winnings of $1,520.00. Visit www.lews.com for their full lineup of products.

The second round of the AiA Lake of the Ozarks division took place on Sunday, March 24, out of the PB2 ramp. The lake is finally starting to produce some good bags, and should get even better within the next few weeks. One of the toughest fields in the Midwest made there way to the Lake of the Ozarks Sunday morning and blasted off at 7am.
A total of 384 bass made their way across the AiA scales Sunday, totaling just over 1,095 pounds. There were 47 five fish limits weighed in. After being weighed, the bass made their way to the AFTCO LIVE RELEASE BASS BUS, then escorted to different areas around the lake to be released. AFTCO is making great strides in conservation efforts throughout our Ozark lakes. Please support this company and let them know you fish Anglers in Action. Visit their website at www.aftco.com.

James Frank and Michael Montgomery slammed 22.80 lbs. on the scales to take the win Sunday. They reported catching all their fish on jerkbaits and a-rigs, towards the lower end of the lake. All of their fish came off of two specific banks, and they boated over 15 keepers throughout the day.
Michael and James took home a total of $5,320.00 for their first place finish.

Chad Snelson and Walter Snelson landed in second place overall Sunday, with five fish that dropped in at 20.20 lbs. Walter and Chad reported catching all their bass on jerkbaits throughout the day. They targeted areas from the midlake down towards the dam.
Chad and Walter walked away with a total of $2,300.00.
Chris D'Aquila and Denny D'Aquila placed third overall Sunday, with five Lake of the Ozarks bass that pushed the AiA scales to 20.17 lbs. Denny and Chris fished the lower end of the lake Sunday, targeting transition banks with wiggle warts and jerkbaits to accumulate their limit.
Chris and Denny took home a total of $2,950.00.

Lew's Big Bass of the event went to the team of Chris and Denny D'Aquila. They landed a 7.05 lb. giant on a wiggle wart to take the big bass of the event.

BLEVINS & BLEVINS TRIUMPH AT AIA TABLE ROCK DIVISION OPENER

The 2019 Anglers in Action Table Rock Division opener is now in the books. A total of 98 teams congregated at the Port of Kimberling Resort & Marina Saturday morning, ready to hit the water. The fishing on Table Rock Lake is really heating up now. The AiA anglers brought 65 five fish limits across the scales. All together 371 bass were weighed in totaling just over 1,078 lbs.
Ulrich Marine was on hand at the weigh-in with the AFTCO LIVE RELEASE BASS BUS, taking care of the fish after the catch and releasing them to various different areas on Table Rock Lake.
We want to thank all of you anglers for your continued support of the Anglers in Action Tournament Trail. The Table Rock division continues to grow and flourish each and every year. AiA will be back at the Rock on April 13th for the second of four division tournaments. We will launch from the Port of Kimberling Resort & Marina at 6:30am, weigh-in will being at 3pm. The father & son team of Eric and Dustin Blevins came out on top Saturday, with a five fish limit that locked in on 23.28 lbs. Dustin & Eric reported fishing the Baxter area up, targeting a very specific type of bank with an a-rig. They caught 20+ keepers throughout the day. Dustin and Eric took home a total of $3,650.00. Aaron Hodge and James Bailey took second place overall for the tournament. They brought in a big sack of Table Rock bass that weighed in at 21.24 lbs.
James and Aaron won a total of $2,460.00
Third place overall went to the team of Jason Coley and Terry Hutchinson. Terry and Jason also found over twenty lbs. Saturday, with their best five bass going for 20.83 lbs.
Jason and Terry walked away with a total of $1,810.00.
Lew's Big Bass of the event went to the team of Ed Young and Joey Penzo. Joey caught this bruiser Saturday, which happened to be his personal best as well. Joey and Ed landed Big Bass of the tournament and a 12th place finish for total winnings of $1,140.00.
