HOLMAN & NEIGHBORS HAMMER 21.55 LBS. TO WIN 2019 GRAND LAKE OPENER

Johnny Holman and Blake Neighbors prevailed on what turned out to be a brutal, windy day on Grand Lake. Blake and Johnny hammered 21.55 lbs. to take the win at the season opener. They took home a total of $3,090.00 in tournament winnings.
Oren Hardesty and Doug Johnson took second place overall, with a total weight of 18.00 pounds. Doug and Oren won a total of $2,210.00. They also won $250 in TAG incentive money.
Tom Canady and Creston Harrell landed in 3rd place overall, with a five fish limit that pushed the scales down to 17.70 lbs. Creston and Tom won a total of $1,635.00.
First place out of the money won the Timmons Oil Company $200 gift certificate, which can be used at either the Tulsa, OK or Springdale, AR locations. That team was Taylor Surley and Drew Sagely. The Anglers in Action Table Rock tournament that was canceled on February 23rd has been re-scheduled to September 15th. We will go out of the Port of Kimberling Resort & Marina, take off at 7:00am.
All entries and money will be forwarded over to the re-scheduled tournament. If you would like to move it elsewhere please contact us at info@midwestfishtournaments.com. Thank you.
Schnable & Schnable Top 130 Boat Field at Lake of the Ozarks

The 2019 Anglers in Action season kickoff at Lake of the Ozarks was met with high winds and an extremely tough bite. Dropping temperatures and high winds greeted the 130 boat field Sunday morning, but the Lake of the Ozark anglers battled it out throughout the day, looking for 5 good bass to escort to the AiA scales Sunday afternoon.

The father and son team of Jim and Josh Schnable prevailed Sunday, managing to find 5 solid bass that pushed the AiA scales to 19.95 lbs.
Josh and Jim fished the Linn Creek area Sunday, targeting two banks throughout the day to accumulate their limit. They had 5 keeper bites Sunday and a total of 8 fish were caught, all came on the a-rig. They won $3,400 for first place overall, $740 for first place sidepot, and $230 for 4th place big bass, for a total of $4,370.00. They also are Platinum TAG members, which earned them an extra $5,000.
They are sponsored by Basscat Boats, Crock-O-Gator, Biospawn Bait Company, Vicious Fishing Line, and G&W Sausage.
Second Place overall went to the team of Chris Jeffries and Tim Jeffries. Tim and Chris reported catching all of there keepers on one stretch of bank, in a one hour span between 11-12. There fish were all caught on jerkbaits.
Chris and Tim took home a total of $2,015.
No strangers to the cash line, Terry Blankenship & Rick Fishback landed in 3rd place overall for the day. Rick and Terry headed up the Osage River Sunday morning to target their bass. they reported catching fish on a wide variety of baits, including a Crankbaits white crappie jerkbait, a Crankbait wrapped red craw, and the Jeremy Lawyer shaky head by Jakked Baits.
Terry and Rick earned a check for $1,500 for the third place finish plus $444 for 2nd place in the sidepot, for total winnings of $1,944.00
They are sponsored by Humminbird, Minnkota, Lew's, Crankwraps, Chompers, Jakked Baits, Crock-O-Gator, Skeeter Boats, Phoenix Boats, and Jenkins Fishing.
Lew's Big Bass went to the team of Chris Jackson and John Taylor. Their bass weighed in at a frightening 6.66 lbs...:) John and Chris won $910 for first place big bass.

Anglers in Action - Table Rock Tournament cancelled.
Due to changing high wind conditions forecast for the Table Rock Lake area the Anglers in Action tournament on Table Rock tomorrow has been cancelled.
We apologize for the late notice, but local weather is now forecasting gale force winds with gusts approaching 60 mph during the afternoon.
Safety is paramount, and again we apologize for the late notice.
The tournament will be re-scheduled to a later date and will be posted to our website soon.
